"Life is not always easy. Strength of family takes love, commitment, and courage"
As a child, my values were formed in a rural setting. My parents were Clarence and Jane Claire (Smith) Kurtsinger. My sister, Jane Foster, and I grew up on the family farm in the Oakville community. I was baptized at Berea Christian Church and attended Adairville and Olmstead schools.
Summer vacations were spent with extended family in Russellville, Allensville and at Lake Malone. I was definitely a country girl. As a teenager, my immediate family went through several serious illnesses and economic hardships. It was the most difficult time in my life but it taught me that life is not always easy and that strength of family takes love, commitment and courage.
